Yesterday , marks the 30th birthday of one of Africa's biggest stars, Yemi Alade.
Mama Africa As she’s popularly Called was Born on March 13, 1989, Yemi has become one of the greatest musical exports from Nigeria round the world. Her 2013 is one of the highest rated singles in African music history- it has over a hundred million views on YouTube alone.
Her career started in 2005, but it wasn't until she won the Peak Talent Show in 2009 that she became recognized nationally.
Through out her career, the singer has releasedthree albums, one EP and dozens of singles to her name and can arguably be said to be one of the best female entertainer in Nigeria.
